David W. Schroeder, the president and chief executive officer of Intermatic, Inc. has been elected to the board of directors for The Chamberlain Group, Inc.  Craig J. Duchossois, chief executive officer of Chamberlain's parent company, Duchossois Industries, Inc., made the announcement today.

 

Chamberlain is the world’s largest manufacturer of residential garage door openers, commercial door operators, residential and commercial gate openers and related access control products.

 

"Mr. Schroeder’s stellar work history and extensive knowledge in complementary markets makes him an ideal fit for the Chamberlain board" said Duchossois. “Dave’s high energy and success oriented approach are the perfect addition to round out the board. We are confident that his contributions will help Chamberlain continue its position as an industry leader.”   

 

Schroeder, in addition to his current role as president and CEO of Intermatic, the world’s largest manufacturer of consumer and industrial energy control products and landscape lighting located in Spring Grove, Ill., also serves on the board of directors for Alto-Shaam, Inc. and the National Association of Manufacturers. Prior to joining Intermatic, Schroeder served as the vice president and chief financial officer for Brady Corporation in Milwaukee, Wis., an international manufacturer and marketer of electrical, electronic and product identification products as well as facility, safety and equipment identification products.
