The Chamberlain Group, Inc., the leading, single-source provider of access control products for residential and commercial applications, has named Jon Sommers as Director of its Technical Support Center, located in Tuscon, Arizona. Sommers comes to The Chamberlain Group with more than 20 years of experience managing large call centers and data capture operations.

"A dynamic leader with an extensive and successful career in operations, service and call center management, Sommers was the model choice for this position," stated Bob Markwart, Executive Vice President of The Chamberlain Group. "His proven expertise in the call center operations field coupled with his commitment to providing each customer with a high-quality service experience make him more than qualified to ensure our Technical Support Center remains the world-class support service facility our customers and partners deserve."

As the new director of Chamberlain’s Technical Support Center, Sommers will oversee the 40,000 sq ft facility and a team of 75 trained Technical Support Representatives, each with a detailed knowledge of a specific segmentation of Chamberlain's product lines. These Support Representatives deliver quick and accurate resolutions to Chamberlain customers 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. "Our highly knowledgeable Support Center staff is one of the many ways The Chamberlain Group proves its dedication to assisting our customers," Markwart added. "Our around-the-clock technical support and training is second to none."

Sommers joins The Chamberlain Group after working with CyraCom International National Language Service Centers, where he managed three call centers located in Arizona and New Mexico. These centers, with over 600 call agents, provided 24/7 on-demand telephonic language translation support in over 150 languages for the health care, insurance and utilities marketplaces. At CyraCom International National Language Service Centers, Sommers initiated the company's push to gain the prestigious ISO 9001 certification, which was awarded to CyraCom in 2008, making it the first Over-the-Phone Interpretation service provider in the U.S. to receive such a distinction.

Sommers holds a Masters in Business and a Bachelor's degree from The Ohio State University. He and his family reside in the Tucson, Arizona area.
