The Chamberlain Group, Inc., the leading, provider of access products for residential and commercial applications, has recently announced that Elmhurst, Ill will be home to the new, state-of-the-art Chamberlain Innovation and Design Center (IDC).
Led by Pepper Construction of Chicago, the construction and remodeling is set to begin in February 2011. Once complete, the 23,000-square-foot facility will house the Customer Experience Center and the Chamberlain Design Center, with added space for user interface and focus groups as well as the Midwest branch of the Chamberlain Training Center. This facility will be located on the site of existing commercial space at 505 W. Grand Avenue, Elmhurst with occupancy scheduled for fall 2011.

It will demonstrate our commitment to our customers and our employees," continues Roberts.
One function of the IDC will be to serve as the foundation for the Customer Experience Center. This area of the facility will contain a product showroom displaying both existing products and future concepts, in addition to extra space for hosting collaborative customer meetings. Additional areas of interest within the new IDC include the Chamberlain Design Center, which is slotted to serve as the new, open-space work area for the internal team members from The Chamberlain Group’s advanced development and marketing departments.
The Chamberlain Group received assistance from the state in the form of Economic Development for a Growing Economy (EDGE) corporate income tax credits and employer training funds.
