Newly constructed building to house more than 500 local employees
OAK BROOK, IL, Feb. 20, 2017 – (chamberlaingroup.com) CGI team members began work in a new, state-of-the-art facility at 300 Windsor Drive in Oak Brook, IL on Monday, February 20, 2017. CGI, a global leader in access solutions and parent company to North American brands LiftMaster and Chamberlain, conducts business worldwide. This move deepens CGI’s roots here in Chicagoland, where they have been operating for more than 50 years.
“CGI is a values-based business,” said Craig Duchossois, Chief Executive Officer of The Duchossois Group, CGI’s parent company. “The new headquarters is an investment in our people as well as our company. We want to provide our people with an open and collaborative environment with all of the amenities that best-in-class work spaces have.”
Duchossois indicated that Good Corporate Citizenship is also a CGI value, and that environmentally friendly practices are a major part of that. Designed to promote natural sunlight and minimize energy use, the new state-of-the-art building is tracking toward LEED certification with the application process beginning once the headquarters is fully occupied.
The CGI team will also have access to the building’s wellness and fitness center, outdoor walking path and a creatively designed space that supports team collaboration.
“CGI has exciting plans to grow as we continue to focus on innovative, technology-driven solutions for our users,” says Chamberlain Group CEO JoAnna Sohovich. “Our new home provides our company with a dynamic space to grow in. Every day the market is evolving to become more sophisticated, so as a leader in our space, it is critical that every facet of our business evolves in the same way. This new headquarters is an important step in that direction.”
